Ingredients and Properties:

Distilled Water- We use distilled water in our emulsified body butter to make sure there are no harsh chemicals or impurities in the water that could irritate the skin.                                         

Vegetable Glycerin- It is a thick, clear, sticky liquid derived from plants like palm and coconut. It is used as a humectant (Humectants are useful for adding hydration without feeling heavy or oily) to help draw moisture to the skin.                                             

BMTS-50- a conditioning emulsifier that gives a powder-like finish when dried. it gives our products the most luxurious, wonderful skin feel when applied. It is made up of Behentrimonium Methosulfate (a cationic emulsifier and conditioning ingredient), Cetyl Alcohol (A fatty alcohol we use as a thickener in lotions, salves, body butter, and more. also gives the end product a better slip and skin feel), and Butylene Glycol (small organic alcohol used as conditioning agent softening and moisturizing the skin, it acts as a solvent for ingredients and enhances their stability, texture, and absorption). You'll see these ingredients on my product labels instead of BTMS-50, but it's the same thing.

Fractionated Coconut Oil- is coconut oil that has had the long chain triglycerides (the thing that makes coconut oil solid) removed, leaving the short and medium-chain triglycerides, to create a lightweight liquid oil. I use both fractionated and regular coconut oil in skincare, but fractionated coconut oil penetrates better into the skin and does not leave a greasy film. It has an emollient effect that can soften and hydrate dry skin. Antioxidant and antibacterial properties in fractionated coconut oil can further help promote skin health.

Shea Butter- is a rich, thick, soft butter made from the seed of the shea fruit. It brings great staying power and creaminess to lotions and is fantastic for dry skin. It's an amazing ingredient to boost natural skin moisture and its anti-inflammatory properties help to soothe skin problems. 

Cetyl Alcohol- A fatty alcohol we use as a thickener in lotions, body butter, and more. Cetyl alcohol thickens and adds body to our concoctions as well as improving slip. It’s an emollient and it thickens/hardens without the weight or tackiness of wax, It is a very moisturizing ingredient to treat or prevent dry, rough, scaly, itchy skin and minor skin irritations. 

Germall Plus- It is a natural broad-spectrum preservative that is effective in a wide variety of formulations and pH environments. 

Arrowroot Powder- a fine, starchy powder that helps reduce the greasy/oily skin feel, and in higher concentrations it can give the entire product a powdery, dry-touch finish and contribute to thickening.

Vitamin E- a potent antioxidant and beneficial skincare ingredient, helping protect the skin from environmental damage. it is extremely moisturizing and can help with inflammation, eczema, dark spots, scars, and more

Fragrance Oil- A mixture of natural and artificial oils to create lovely fresh and sweet scents.
