How To Use:  For a deeper/ coarser scrub take a small amount and rub it all over your body in the shower. For a softer scrub take a small amount and mix with a little warm water before rubbing it over your body.

Ingredients and Properties:                                        

Fractionated Coconut Oil- is coconut oil that has had the long-chain triglycerides (the thing that makes coconut oil solid) removed, leaving the short and medium-chain triglycerides, to create a lightweight liquid oil. I use both fractionated and regular coconut oil in skincare, but fractionated coconut oil penetrates better into the skin and does not leave a greasy film. It has an emollient effect that can soften and hydrate dry skin. Antioxidant and antibacterial properties in fractionated coconut oil can further help promote skin health.

Emulsifying Wax-a complete vegetable-derived non-ionic emulsifying wax used to create oil-in-water emulsions. It is another ingredient that makes my scrubs so thick but creamy and latherable with warm water added. It is made from Cetearyl Alcohol (and) Polysorbate 60. Polysorbate 60 emulsifies, while cetearyl alcohol thickens and stabilizes the emulsion. You'll see these ingredients on my product labels instead of emulsifying wax but its the same thing.

Shea Butter- is a rich, thick, soft butter made from the seed of the shea fruit. It brings great staying power and creaminess to body scrubs and is fantastic for dry skin. It's an amazing ingredient to boost natural skin moisture and its anti-inflammatory properties help to soothe skin problems. 

Cetyl Alcohol- A fatty alcohol we use as a thickener in lotions, body scrubs, and more. Cetyl alcohol thickens and adds body to our concoctions as well as improving slip. It’s an emollient and it thickens/hardens without the weight or tackiness of wax, It is a very moisturizing ingredient to treat or prevent dry, rough, scaly, itchy skin and minor skin irritations. This is one ingredient that makes my scrubs so thick but creamy and latherable with warm water added.

Stearic Acid- Stearic acid is an isolated fatty acid we use as a thickener and hardener in lotions, salves, body butter, and more. It’s usually derived from palm, but I have found canola oil derived stearic acid as well when used in anhydrous rinse-off products like cleansing balms or emulsified sugar scrubs, stearic acid thickens while maintaining excellent rinse-off (unlike true waxes, which can leave a tacky film behind).

Germall Plus- It is a natural broad-spectrum preservative that is effective in a wide variety of formulations and pH environments. 

Vitamin E- a potent antioxidant and beneficial skincare ingredient, helping protect the skin from environmental damage. it is extremely moisturizing and can help with inflammation, eczema, dark spots, scars, and more

Fragrance Oil- A mixture of natural and artificial oils to create lovely fresh and sweet scents.

Pigments- Potent powdered mineral pigments made from Iron Oxide. While iron oxides do occur naturally there are heavy metal contamination concerns, so the wild-harvested variety is not legal for sale, but they are still 100% natural and not harmful. 

Sugar- Good Ol' sweet white cane sugar. It's just really good for scrubbing off any dry skin or dirtiness without being too rough and abrasive.
